The story follows an illiterate politician named Ganga Ram Choudhary (Abhishek Bachchan), the ‘eighth pass’ chief minister, who chose to study in the middle and appear in the class 10 board exam. He has vowed that till he does not pass Dasvi, he will not become CM. Gangaram asks his wife (housewife Vimaladevi, played by Nimrat Kaur) to take over his world to maintain the chair in the family. Initially reluctant to him, the wife suddenly falls in love with him after having tasted power and fame. Even with his wife’s overnight political ambitions Unbeknownst to him, Gangaram is also taken into custody by Jail Superintendent Jyoti Deswal (Yami Gautam Dhar), who tells him that he is illiterate. Where Abhishek Bachchan Abhishek Bachchan tries to get back in the 70s of Bachchan senior by giving his character OTT appeal. On the other hand, Nimrat Kaur as Vimaladevi is perfect and Yami Gautam Dhar’s choice of characters is commendable.
