The Dell XPS 17 is a very powerful laptop. It has a 13th Gen Intel core i9 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. It comes with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB storage. This laptop has everything a person would want, but is it the right one for you?
Overview Of Dell XPS 17 And Its Powerful Features
Imagine putting the most advanced computer chip and a top-quality graphics card in a laptop, along with a huge 4K display and excellent speakers. That’s what the Dell XPS 17 offers. It’s perfect for someone who needs a lot of computing power.
I had the chance to use this laptop nike air jordan 1 retro custom football jerseys best human hair wigs new wigs 2023 nike air jordan black and white adidas yeezy boost 350 best wigs for black women cheap football jerseys adidas outlets adidas shop adidas running shoes adidas yeezy 700 v3 azael sex toy shop cheap nfl jerseys new wigs 2023 for a few weeks, and I was impressed from the moment I opened the box. The experience is top-notch, just like the high price suggests. The laptop looks sleek and well-made, giving you a premium experience.
The laptop is powered by the 13th Gen Intel core i9 processor, with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. But to be honest, most people don’t need this much power. It’s more than what’s necessary for tasks like using spreadsheets, attending online meetings, and watching Netflix. It even has a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU on top of all that. If all this hasn’t amazed you, the price definitely will.
So, What Did I Do With This Super-Powerful Laptop?
I used it for my daily work, which involves researching and writing for about nine hours a day. I usually have many tabs open on Google Chrome, WhatsApp, and Slack running in the background, occasional Zoom calls, and sometimes even Spotify. After work, I’d spend several hours binge-watching and using various entertainment apps. I also tried playing Asphalt 9, and it ran very smoothly. I didn’t play much because the RTX 4070 made the game too easy.
Performance-wise, the XPS 17 didn’t slow down at all. It handled everything smoothly. But let’s remember, I’m not a power user. That’s the point I’m making. This laptop isn’t for everyone, especially considering its price (which I’ll reveal soon).
It’s a laptop meant for creators and people who work with large files and need a powerful CPU and GPU. The display and speakers are exceptional. The speakers are among the best I’ve heard on a laptop. The keyboard is compact for the laptop’s size due to the speaker dimensions but functions well. The keycaps are a good size with nice travel. The trackpad is also good and just clicky enough.
The feature that most users of this machine will love is the I/O ports. The laptop has four Thunderbolt ports, which can also charge the laptop, a full-size SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack. That’s not all. Dell also includes a USB Type-C to USB Type-A and HDMI 2.0 adapter in the box, keeping the needs of its target audience in mind.
What Didn’t I like About The XPS 17?
The battery. It’s not bad, usually lasting well over six hours. However, for a laptop this size and power, I expected a bit more battery life. At least enough to last a whole day without needing to charge. Another minor issue is its weight, but that’s just me being picky since I’m not used to carrying a 2.4 kg laptop every day.
In conclusion
The Dell XPS 17 is an excellent choice if you have the budget for it, priced at Rs 3,64,289 for my review unit. It’s perfect for someone who needs its high-end features. If terms like ’13th Gen Intel core i9′ and ‘NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070’ don’t matter to you, there are other options available that cost less and still meet your needs. The XPS also comes in 13- and 15-inch sizes with slightly lesser specs and accordingly lower prices, which might suit you better if the 17-inch model is too much.
