According to a media report, ‘BCCI has sent the draft of the program to ICC, which has forwarded it to participating countries for feedback. The announcement of the final program will be made next week.’ As per the initial draft, the tournament will commence on October 5, featuring the current champion England against the previous runner-up New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The final will also be held on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Semi-Finals Will Take Place On November 15 and 16
The semi-finals will take place on November 15 and 16, with the venue yet to be determined. Host India will play their league matches in nine cities, including Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. The match against Pakistan will be held on October 15. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s league matches will be played in five cities.
Pakistan’s First Match Will Be On October 6
As per the report, ‘Pakistan will play against 6 and 12 October qualifiers in Hyderabad from the qualifier stage. After that, they will play against Australia in Bangalore (October 20), Afghanistan in Chennai (October 23), South Africa in Ahmedabad (October 27), Bangladesh in Kolkata (October 31), New Zealand in Bangalore (November 5), and England in Kolkata (November 12).’
