Although Dwivedi’s look comes through in the costumes and production designs of forts and palaces, the battle scenes are hardly something we haven’t seen before in the battlefields of Bollywood.

It doesn’t have the splendor we’ve seen in other historical dramas, but enough to keep you invested and take you back to the pages of our glorious history. As is the case with its simple, sharp-edged tone, the film is loud and gaudy, lurks between dialogue and dullness, and stands firm to its stated intent.
